Building Connections Beyond the Court

Lake Travis Tennis Association’s community outreach extends beyond the courts. In August and September, LTTA Board Member and Community Outreach Liaison Kim Fox represented the association at four local events, celebrating businesses and organizations that serve the Lake Travis community.

Welcoming SilverLeaf Eldercare

On August 27, Kim joined the ribbon cutting for SilverLeaf Eldercare’s new Bee Cave residence. SilverLeaf provides personalized assisted living, memory care and in-home care for seniors and their families. Its new residence offers a warm, home-like environment where residents can feel comfortable and supported.

Celebrating 20 Years of Café Blue

Kim also helped celebrate Café Blue Bee Cave’s 20th anniversary, an impressive milestone for a restaurant that has been part of the Lake Travis community for two decades. Congratulations to the Café Blue team on 20 years of bringing people together around the table!

Spotlight on AIM

On September 17, Kim attended the Bee Cave Chamber of Commerce’s well-attended Business Spotlight event for Adults Independent and Motivated (AIM), a local nonprofit supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

AIM helps participants build independent lives within a close-knit community, with access to transportation, learning, recreation and social opportunities. Its model was inspired by The Mission Project in the Kansas City area, which provided guidance as AIM developed its community in Central Texas.

For LTTA, the event was an opportunity to learn more about an organization whose participants have also joined us on the tennis court through Red Ball for All. These connections support our commitment to making tennis accessible and welcoming to people of different abilities.

Community members can support AIM at its 10th Annual Tutus & Ties Fun Run on Saturday, October 10, at the Hill Country Galleria. The organization’s largest annual fundraiser welcomes walkers and runners of all abilities for a self-timed 5K. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m., with an 8 a.m. start.

Celebrating Cielo Behavioral Health

On September 30, Kim attended the ribbon cutting for Cielo Behavioral Health, joining the Bee Cave Chamber of Commerce and fellow community members to celebrate the organization.

Cielo offers Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in home, school and community settings. Its insurance-based therapy program pairs oversight from Board Certified Behavior Analysts with direct support from Registered Behavior Technicians. Cielo also offers consultation and coaching focused on practical strategies for individuals and families.

Connecting Our Community

Community connections are an important part of LTTA’s mission. By building relationships with local businesses and organizations, we better understand the people we serve and create more opportunities to connect through tennis.

Thank you to Kim for representing LTTA, and to the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce and Bee Cave Chamber of Commerce for bringing our community together. Congratulations to the SilverLeaf Eldercare, Café Blue and Cielo Behavioral Health teams, and thank you to AIM for its work supporting independence and belonging.
