In an effort to introduce more children to the game of tennis, Lake Travis Tennis Association (LTTA) recently partnered with the City of Lakeway to host a beginner tennis clinic for children.
The free event, which was held in conjunction with National Tennis Month, took place at the Live Oak Tennis Courts in Lakeway.
The clinic, which was designed for children ages five to twelve, utilized smaller equipment, which was provided by LTTA. Participants enjoyed a series of drills in games designed to teach the basics of the sport in a fun environment.
The event was one of a variety of play opportunities offered by LTTA, whose primary focus is to promote the long-term health benefits of playing tennis as well as the mental and physical development aspects provided by the game.
