LTTA kicks off Rough Hollow pickleball ladder

Updated: Apr 27, 2020

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America and it's thriving in Rough Hollow thanks to a string of clinics and a ladder hosted by the Lake Travis Tennis Association.

The ladder, which began last night, will run for eight weeks and is open to beginner and intermediate level players.

"Pickleball is a great sport for exercise and socializing," said Richard Evans, president of LTTA. "It is a combination of ping-pong, badminton and racquetball."

Matches are held at 6pm and 7pm at the Rough Hollow pickleball courts and include three games of doubles with new partners each game. Players who are waiting their turn can sip on cocktails, provided by Treaty Oak Distillery, the event sponsor.

Response to the ladder was so popular, registration is full, however, interested players can sign up to be a sub.
