Lake Travis Tennis Association kicked off the second season of its adult social tennis program, “Courts and Cocktails” on Wednesday, March 23. The six week program, which is taking place at Lake Travis High School and caters to players of all levels and is being led by Coach Bob Haugen. Haugen brings with him decades of tennis coaching experience. He served as the Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach for The University of Texas from 1983-1990 and the Director of Instruction/Tennis Coordinator for school's Department of Kinesiology from 1983-2013. More recently, he has coached at Washington University, St. Louis, St. Stephen’s High School, St. Stephen’s Tennis Academy and Arlington Tennis Center.
After an hour and a half that includes both tennis instruction and game play, players head across the street to the Grove Wine Bar and Kitchen. While the league registration is closed, a limited number of drop-in spots are available each week for $15. For more information or to register, click here.
