LTTA Relaunches "Grow the Game" Program

Thanks to a generous grant from the Capital Area Tennis Association (CATA), the Lake Travis Tennis Association (LTTA) recently announced the continuation of its popular "Grow the Game" program, aimed at introducing young children to the joys and benefits of tennis.

Aimed at Kids Ages 6-10

The "Grow the Game" program is specifically designed for children aged 6 to 10, making tennis both fun and accessible. The program focuses on teaching the fundamentals of tennis in a playful and encouraging environment, helping children discover the joy of the sport while trading screen time for court time.

Program Highlights

Each child enrolled in the program will receive:

  • Two Free Tennis Lessons: Participants will benefit from two one-hour lessons with a professional tennis instructor.

  • End-of-Program Group Clinic: A group clinic will be held at the conclusion of the program to celebrate the progress and achievements of the young players.

Registration Details

The program is open to first-time participants. Here is how it works:

  1. Borrow a Tennis Kit: Head to Bee Cave or Lake Travis Community Library and check-out a LTTA Tennis Kit filled with everything your child needs to get started, including a racquet, balls, and instructional materials.

  2. Schedule Your Free Lessons: While at the library, simply scan the QR code to register your child for two free tennis lessons!

Due to limited spots, parents are encouraged to sign up soon to secure their child’s place.

Thank you to Capital Area Tennis Association (CATA) for investing in the LTTA "Grow the Game" initiative and not only supporting the development of young Lake Travis athletes but also nurturing a love for tennis that can last a lifetime. The collaboration between the two associations underscores the importance of grassroots initiatives in promoting sports participation and fostering a culture of health and wellness in our Central Texas communities.
